On completion of this module, participants will gain awareness of the skills and knowledge in supervise quality control teams at the work place. It is a systematic approach that workers can use to make incremental and breakthrough improvements in processes that produce products and services for customers.

MF-COM-301E-1 - SUPERVISE WORKPLACE SAFETY & HEALTH PRACTICES

On completion of this module, participants will gain the required competencies to supervise workplace safety and health practices at supervisor level in their workplaces. Learners will acquire competencies in planning workplace safety and health activities, implementing safe work practices and maintaining workplace risk control measures.

This course enables individuals to acquire supervisory skills and knowledge in supervising and implementing work improvement processes in workplace. The Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) system offers a systematic path for individuals to equip themselves with relevant competencies so that they can upgrade their skills, enhance their employability and stay relevant.

The ratio of Lecturer to Students is 1:32 for theory classes
 
Practical:
 
The ratio of Lecturer to Students is 1:16 for practical training

All classes will be a mix of lectures and practical skills training

WSQ courses are assessed by practical assessments
 
Admission Requirements
 
 
  • Completed O-level and are able to speak, read and write in basic English OR
     
     
  • Participants with the following competency ratings from the Employability Skills System (ESS) are eligible:
         
  • Listening/Speaking - Minimum Level 5
         
  • Reading/Writing - Minimum Level 5
         
  • Numeracy - Minimum Level 5
     
    Graduation Requirements
     
    Upon successful completion of courses. Participants will be awarded the 'Statement of Attainment for WSQ: Certified Operations Professional' by Singapore Workforce Development Agency
     
    Course Duration
     
    The total training hours for the entire course is 80 hours. The duration of the course is spread over 10 days, from 0900 to 1800 hours each day.

    Funding is made available after 90% with WDA Funding. The amount of Absentee Payroll Support is 80% of hourly basic salary capped at SGD4.50 per hour.

    Only Singapore residents or Singapore PR (Permanent Residents) taking the WSQ: Certified Operations Professional short course can apply for up to 90% subsidy on course fees.
     
    The general eligibility criteria are listed as follows:
     
      1.
    Compaines are registered or incorporated in Singapore
      2.
    Supported cost components (such as Course fees) are fully sponsored by companies
      3.
    Trainees are employees who are either Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident
      4.
    Trainee have achieved at least 75% attendance and have sat for all examinations if the course leads to certification
